The creative play explosion that has been going on in this house over the past several months has been awesome to watch. How does she know to give her baby a bath in her play sink just like she did during the 1st year of her life (at the old house!)? How does she know to take the placemats off of our table and put them on her table before getting out her dishes? How does she know that she needs to cook the food (while making the appropriate cooking sounds) on the stove before serving it to her daddy? The list goes on and on and on…it is so much fun to watch her be a little mommy to her babies, talk to her stuffed animals and make the appropriate sounds while playing.
Imaginative play is so important at this stage and it will only continue to expand as she continues to watch and observe the people around her. I love toys that encourage imaginative play, so when she received a doctor’s kit from her Aunt & Uncle for Christmas I knew it would be a big hit.
Dr. Victoria was in the house and giving her daddy a check up, to make sure he continues to stay healthy!
She cannot check his heart without the appropriate “boom, boom…boom, boom” sound.
Daddy encouraged V to take her own temperature instead of his, smart daddy.
It would not be a true doctor’s visit without a shot, “Look out Daddy, she is going in!”
V gave her daddy a clean bill of health after her examination.
Playing the doctor & the patient is apparently very exhausting work!![]()
I love this stage and looking forward to seeing what two is going to bring, we are almost a month away from the BIG day!
I love the look on her face when she's listening to G's heartbeat!
